Through this painting, I wanted to capture the essence of the streets in El Salvador, their familiar aesthetic, textures, and collective memory. Painted in a textured style, much like my other piece A Childhood Memory, it reflects not just one specific town, but the spirit of many. My personal connection comes from La Unión, where my grandparents are from, whose streets mirror the scene you see here.

Mi Pueblo is dedicated to the people of El Salvador. It honors everyday life, the markets, the houses, the roads that hold our stories. It is both a reminder of the beauty in the ordinary and a reflection of the shared memory that ties us all together.

A través de esta pintura quise capturar la esencia de las calles de El Salvador: su estética familiar, sus texturas y su memoria colectiva. Pintada en un estilo texturizado, al igual que mi otra obra Un Recuerdo de Infancia, no refleja un solo pueblo específico, sino el espíritu de muchos. Mi conexión personal proviene de La Unión, de donde son mis abuelos, cuyas calles reflejan la escena que aquí se representa.

Mi Pueblo está dedicada al pueblo salvadoreño. Honra la vida cotidiana—los mercados, las casas, los caminos que guardan nuestras historias. Es tanto un recordatorio de la belleza en lo ordinario como un reflejo de la memoria compartida que nos une a todos.
