GOD UPON US - Original

GOD UPON US brings together an expansive blue sky, touches of pink, small boats and a submarine navigating an open sea. It is a painting about love, distance, and the faith we hold onto when someone we love is beyond the horizon.

"I cried while painting this. My heart is with the military families who have—or have had—a loved one out at sea. I know what that feels like. I live it in real-time.

If this painting speaks to you for a different reason, there’s room for your story here, too. That’s why I make art: to connect through what we sometimes struggle to put into words. Our experiences may be different, but we can still recognize something of ourselves in one another.

I hope this painting helps you feel understood, wherever it finds you."
